Reaching your caregiver through the Relay line

Your care agency uses a Relay number so you can reach the caregiver who's with your loved one without needing their personal number, and without needing to know who's on shift today.

Sending a text

  1. Text the Relay number and start with the caregiver's name, for example "Hi Maria, is Mom eating lunch OK?"
  2. If Maria is on shift now, your message goes straight to her. Her replies come back to you from the same number, starting with her name, like "Maria S: She had soup!"
  3. The conversation stays open until the shift ends. To end it sooner, text END RELAY.

Not sure of the caregiver's name? Just text your question. The Relay line will reply with who you can reach.

Texting outside a shift? Your message is saved and delivered just before the caregiver's next shift. You'll get a text confirming when.

Making a call

Call the Relay number, choose the person you want from the list, and you'll be connected. Calls are recorded. Outside shift times, you can leave a voicemail, which is passed on before the next shift.

Please remember

  • Schedule changes, cancellations, and billing go through the office, not the Relay line. Please call the office directly.
  • Emergencies: call 911 first, then the office.
  • The office can see Relay messages so they can help if something comes up.
