Client & caregiver profiles

Goal: "Only offer Mr. Ortiz's shifts to caregivers who are OK with dogs and can do transfers, and never to Jamie." Get the right caregivers on every request.

Quick paths

I want to… Do this
Mark a caregiver as a great fit for a client Client profile → Add a Caregiver match or exclusion → Add Match
Never offer a client's shifts to a caregiver Same place → add as an exclusion
Prioritize trusted caregivers everywhere Caregiver → Add to A-Tier
Keep a caregiver off all fill-in requests Caregiver → Exclude from fill-ins?
Change what caregivers are told about a client Client → Details for outbound messages
Stop automated texts for a test or training client Client → Exclude from auto-msgs
Review care plan changes from the latest sync Click Profile changes identified on recent sync

How matching works

  1. Hard criteria remove caregivers who can't work the shift: skills (memory care, hospice, hoyer, transfers, incontinence), preferences (cats, dogs, smoking), gender preference, max weight, car, distance, and schedule or availability conflicts.
  2. Your lists: best matches and A-Tier caregivers are prioritized, and exclusions are removed.
  3. Qualitative matching reads profile notes and commute versus shift length, then scores the fit.

Tips

  • Notes matter. A sentence like "prefers calm, experienced caregivers; dislikes strong perfume" improves every match.
  • Use exclusions for hard "no"s, not notes. Exclusions are guaranteed. Notes only influence the score.
  • Review A-Tier quarterly.
